How it works

Two days, two stages

  1. Write a bill and submit it by Feb 12, 2027.
  2. Committee Day at a host high school (date coming soon). Committees hear and move bills forward.
  3. State House Day, Saturday, Mar 13, 2027. Bills are debated in the Senate and House chambers.
  4. The Governor decides whether to sign or veto, with advice from the Cabinet.

Committee Chairs

  • New this year: a Committee Chair application, coming soon.
  • Presiding Officers are elected by their chamber.
  • AI is a tool for research. It can't write your bill, brief or speech, and you must understand and defend your positions.
